TPG Hotels & Resorts, one of the nation’s premier hospitality management firms, announced today the appointment of Thomas Koehl as Senior Vice President of Accounting. In this executive leadership role, Koehl will oversee the company's accounting organization, financial reporting, internal controls, and owner reporting functions, helping strengthen the financial infrastructure that supports TPG's continued portfolio growth.
Koehl joins TPG Hotels & Resorts with more than 25 years of hospitality financial leadership experience spanning hotel accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, internal controls, and owner relations. Throughout his career, he has built and led high-performing accounting teams while supporting complex hotel portfolios across multiple ownership groups and brands.
Most recently, Koehl served as Vice President of Centralized Accounting at Aimbridge Hospitality, where he led a team of 55 accounting professionals supporting a portfolio of more than 270 hotels. In that role, he oversaw operational financial reporting, cash management, lender reporting, internal and external audits, and owner reporting while partnering closely with operations teams to drive financial performance. Prior to Aimbridge, Koehl held senior accounting leadership positions with Highgate, Interstate Hotels & Resorts, Pillar Hotels & Resorts, and ING Clarion Partners, developing extensive experience supporting institutional owners, hotel operators, and investment partners.
